- Water in the morning so beds are less hospitable at night.
- Iron-phosphate baits are widely used where permitted — follow label and wildlife guidance.
When to escalate
If you cannot reduce moisture/habitat and losses are total on successive sowings, extension can suggest region-appropriate tools.
