Signs in the garden
- Wilting affects part of the plant while other branches look fine at first.
- Brown streaking in vascular tissue when stems are cut (not always obvious to beginners).
What often helps (general)
- Use labeled resistant varieties where Fusarium races are known locally.
- Rotate tomatoes away from the same bed; avoid moving soil from infected beds.
When to escalate
Vascular wilts are easy to confuse with root damage, stem borers, or root rot — lab/extension ID helps before you redesign beds.
